Soda Vending Machines & How They Can Put Cash In Your Pocket
Soda vending machines are very good investments because most people drink soda at one time or another and some people drink several sodas a day. Soda pop vending machines are some of the most lucrative and popular types of vending machines around. This is great for you – the vending machine entrepreneur – because you can place your soda machines anywhere that people are thirsty and every time someone purchases a soda you can double your investment, charging around .75 cents for a can and up to $1.50 for a bottle of soda.
Of course, you’ll need to decide what kind of soda you are going to put in your soda vending machine. There are many choices available and if you go with a brand specific machine – such as one that has the Coca-cola or Pepsi-cola logos on it – then you’ll be able to choose from all the different types of soda that they have. Usually every brand will have regular and diet, but there are specialized drinks such as root beer or lemon lime soda that you can go with if you choose. What you should do is rotate in new ones to see what is most popular.
Some people do the discount soda pop vending machine thing, where they buy store brand sodas such as Shasta or Sam’s Club and sell them at a discount such as a quarter or thirty five cents. The profit is small on these machines unless you manufacture the soda yourself or can get it at a major discount, but they do sell quickly, as most people are willing to spend a quarter for a cold drink when they are thirsty. Choosing which type you want to sell – premium soda or store brand soda – is up to you completely, depending on what you think your customers will buy.
A great idea these days is an energy drink vending machine. Many people use energy drinks throughout the day to keep their energy up, and you can buy these energy drinks in bulk for as little as a dollar each and sell them for as much as three dollars a pop – no pun intended. If you want to go this route you should check with the laws in your state because some laws have been passed or may be passed soon restricting the sale of these energy drinks to minors, as it can cause excessive energy and heart rate with the body chemistry of teenagers.
If you don’t have a lot of space you can go with a mini soda vending machine. These machines are great because they are much cheaper to get than the full size vending machines but they have their drawbacks as well. For one thing, they are easier to hack than the full size vending machines with all the security measures. Another thing is that they don’t hold much soda and don’t hold much money either so you may have to restock and collect on these machines more frequently than you would their full size counterparts. If this is not a hardship, consider the min soda vending machines.
