How To Determine Whether Or Not To Buy A Used Vending Machine

If you are looking into getting vending machines as a business or at the business of vending then one thing that you’ll want to look for is great deals on a used vending machine. That is, if you can find someone to repair the machine if it is not in the best of shape and if the price is worth getting the machine and then paying to have someone fix it. There are a few advantages and disadvantages to going with a used vending machine and we’ll go over some of them here now, to help you make the best decision on whether to get your vending machines new or make do with used machines.

One type of vending machine that I strongly suggest buying new is a refrigerated soda machine. There are a couple of reason for this, first, used soda vending machines are easier to hack, and the older they are the more susceptible to this they seem to be. Secondly, older soda vending machines will not be able to use newer features like credit card swipers and some may used obsolete equipment or supplies to keep the soda refrigerated. Also, you may not be able to find parts for used soda machines, but this is true with any vending machine that you buy used that is more than a few years old.

Some common types of used vending machines that you might look for are used coffee vending machines, which dispense coffee into cups and add cream and sugar, although again I would suggest going new with these and getting machines that take credit cards as well as used snack vending machines, which dispense things like potato chips and candy bars. The older versions of these are certainly easy to hack and so you’ll want to be careful what type of snack machines that you get. You want to make sure that your machines have good security and can prevent hacking.

Used vending machines are available in a variety of places, most notably online. However, you can also find these vending machines at auctions in your local area and by watching the newspaper or magazine classifieds section for vending machines for sale coming up in your area. However, I should caution you that you’ll want to learn about vending machines first, specifically how they work and what they are worth and how much trouble certain parts are to replace and fix. It will not benefit you at all to buy a busted vending machine and then find out the part you need isn’t made anymore.

Just make sure that you keep an eye out for a good deal and take advantage of it when you find one. At the same time, when you purchase a vending machine from someone ask them if they had it set up somewhere and then get the contact information if they are never going to use the spot again. This may get you several places to put your vending machines which as we all know can be one of the most challenging parts of the vending business and could save you time and money as well as giving you valuable contacts in the vending business.
