There is an endless variety of real foods that you can include in your snack vending machine to entice those having hunger pangs to eat. Make sure that you put this type of machine next to a cold drink machines, or better yet, next to a cold drink machine and a coffee machines.
Let’s move onto refrigerated snacks. Selling pre-packaged refrigerated snacks may yield more revenue because you can charge more for them. For instance, selling sandwiches or salads that must be kept cold, will allow you to mark them up to around three or four dollars, which can mean a great deal of profit. If there is enough food there to warrant a lunch, then people will be wiling to spend the money on sandwiches and snacks, and soda from your drink machines rather than getting into their car and going to find a fast food restaurant, particularly if they only have a short lunch.
You could also offer frozen snacks, which are perfect for the hot summer months. Ice cream sandwiches and cones, as well as Popsicle treats and other frozen goodies are quite popular when it is hot outside. This works even better if you can place you vending machine in a location outside. You can also offer frozen dinners and other types of frozen food for lunches that they will have to heat up in the microwave, to supplement the sandwiches and snacks that you already have. These type of frozen foods do well in employee break rooms and places like that.
