Investing In A Soda Machine

One of the main additions to your vending machine arsenal should be a soda machine. You can choose whichever brand you’d like but nearly everyone drinks soda and wherever your vending machines are located you should have at least one soda machine. You should include a wide variety of soda flavors in your machine, including low calorie, or zero calorie and bottled water as well as the regular flavors. Usually one brand of soda will carry several different flavors. For instance, Coke products include Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Mello Yellow, Fanta and more.

Soda vending machines placement is particularly easy since they can be placed in so many different places. One recommendation that we have if you have a few soda machines that need placement is to check the local hotels and motels around your area for an obvious lack of vending machines especially soda machines. Many times, for around $50 – $100 bucks a month you can get placement here and depending upon the motel or hotel make a solid income from these. A soda vending machine in a good hotel will receive a lot of business, especially if placed in a busy area.

Other places for your soda machine include office buildings and other types of business with a lot of employee or customer traffic. Generally stores will not allow vending machines because they sell many of the same items, but a department store or some other nonfood type store may allow placement. Another consideration besides what type of inventory to offer and placement, is how much to charge. One major recommendation we make is to provide a debit/credit slot rather than just cash. Many people don’t carry cash, and you may lose some customers if you do not provide a way for these type of people to pay.

If you are looking for a deal consider buying a used soda machine. Used soda machines will generally run much lower than brand new ones, even cutting the $5000 price tag of a new modernized vending machine in half or more. Used soda machines are available all over the internet, but you’ll want to be aware of as-is products, that may not be fixable and will not do you any good. Find out how vending machines work, and have a basic knowledge of parts and service so that you’ll know a good deal when you find one.

If you are looking for a unique way to attract customer, then consider an antique vending machine such as a vendo soda machine. Vendo soda machines are instantly recognizable and will add an air of atmosphere to your vending machines that may attract customers. These machines were prominent in the 40’s and 50’s and were made specifically for coke products. They are difficult to find and priced according to antiquity, but if you find one it may be worth it to invest in a vendo machine because they may bring in enough customers who want to admire the machine to make up for it.
